The present application provides a method for controlling turn-on of a screen, and an electronic device. During implementation of the technical solution provided by the present application, by means of equally important schemes of attitude sensors and Hall sensors, device forms of an electronic device are determined when the electronic device is closed and when the electronic device is unfolded, and then turn-on and turn-off of two display screens can be reasonably controlled on the basis of the device forms. Reasonable control comprises: if an initial state of the electronic device is an unfolded state, when the electronic device is closed, turn-off of an inner screen and turn-on of an outer screen can be triggered as quickly as possible; and if the initial state of the electronic device is a closed state, when the electronic device is unfolded, turn-off of the outer screen and turn-on of the inner screen can be triggered as quickly as possible.
