Abstract:
A fastener element (4, 4') includes an element lower part (5, 5') and an element upper part (6, 6') respectively provided below and above a plane in which a fastener tape (3, 3') is present. The element upper part (6, 6') includes a single elongate-shaped portion that includes an upper surface (61, 61') extending along a width direction of the slide fastener (1) orthogonal to a center line (CL) of the slide fastener (1), a front side surface (62, 62') extending in the same direction, and a rear side surface (63, 63') extending in the same direction. In a closed state of the slide fastener (1), the element upper part (6, 6') of the fastener element (4, 4') is shaped so a not to straddle the center line (CL) of the slide fastener (1).
