Provided is a vehicle control system that, while executing remote or automatic vehicle control, ensures security by disabling a remote or automatic vehicle control function. Provided is a vehicle control system (100) comprising: a vehicle (101) which comprises a communication terminal (102) having a communication function; an ECU (103) installed in the vehicle, which executes operation control of the vehicle using communication via the communication terminal; a transmission unit (104) that transmits a control indication value used for performing the operation control of the vehicle to the ECU from outside of the vehicle via the communication terminal; and a disabling request unit (105) that requests irreversible disabling of the operation control of the vehicle to the ECU from outside of the vehicle via the communication terminal. After executing the operation control, said vehicle control system executes irreversible disabling of the operation control.
