In order to prevent a postoscillation of the armature disk after a closing of the solenoid valve, a damping device is provided on the magnet armature. With a device of this kind, a required short switching time of the solenoid valve can be precisely maintained. The solenoid valve (30) is designated for use in fuel injection systems with a common rail.
