Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device for cleaning air masses even those with small amounts of contamination e.g. in tunnels, roads through gorges, road constructions and premises. The inventive method for cleaning heavily and slightly contaminated air masses is characterized in that modular designed air cleaning elements are successively and locally installed all along or along a section of the tunnel perimeter and the length of the tunnel, and particles and pollutant gases are removed from the tunnel air. The design of the cleaning elements on the tunnel wall (air inflow and outflow) is based on flow technology. It enables air to circulate through the modules without forced ventilation (the circulation of air in the tunnel itself, assisted by the piston effect of the motor vehicles and partially dependent upon meteorological conditions).
