Date Jan. 29, 1998Disclosed is a method for controlling the injection process in a high-speed two stroke internal combustion engine (11). The method includes providing a trigger signal fixedly related to the rotational angle of the crankshaft per revolution of the injection control, providing a speed dependent A.C. voltage, whose period duration amounts to a fraction (L/n) of the time per revolution (rotation time) of the internal combustion engine (11), and controlling the injection process responsive to the trigger signal and the A.C. voltage. Accordingly, the invention provides a simple electronic injection control with optimal, accurately computable injection parameters for all speeds.
