Abstract:
The cylinder has a base (2) and an external body (3). A tempering medium flows between the two bodies. The circumference of the base body has a multiple helical channel (17). The external body, which feeds the printing ink, is not self-supporting over its length but is supported by the base body. The multiple helical channel is formed in the outside of the base body as a screw-shaped groove with projections (26), which support the external body.
