Abstract:
Deflection unit (17) has an optical axis (21) parallel to an axis of rotation (23) about which it (17) is rotated. The axes have eccentric offset (E). The laser beam (13) is incident into the deflection unit (17) parallel to and spaced away from the optical axis (21). The eccentric offset (E) is variable during welding. An independent claim is included for corresponding apparatus.
