Abstract:
This method, for making an electrically conductive wire for a winding for a rotary electrical machine, from a conductive wire (14) having a generally round shape in transverse cross section, comprises the steps that consist of: continuously drawing the round wire from a feed support, and applying forces longitudinally on the wire on diametrically opposed zones in such a way as to form longitudinal flats (M, M') on the latter. The round wire has an electrically insulating envelope (E), and the forces are applied on the wire through the said envelope.
