Abstract:
A process for producing a tubular film (200a,200b), esp a bottle sleeve label, comprises using a film material (12) wound on a roll (10) with two side regions (16a,16b) and a central region (18). Each of the two side regions of the film is folded upwards in the direction of movement, and are then folded over and pressed flat onto the central region. The film is then welded through, using a hot air, a high frequency, laser or thermal welding techniques. The arrangement used to produce the tubular film consists of a prefolding station (20), a flattening station (30) and a welding station (60). The latter has at least two symmetrically arrangeable weld sections. A suction unit removes residual film material.
