A toroidal regulating device for regulating the torque of a motor vehicle toroidal variator has at least one regulator and a first regulating variable which can be fed back to the regulator. The formation of the second variable includes at least one second characteristic quantity for a pivoting speed of an intermediate roller of the toroidal variator.
