Abstract:
Separation of organic compound(s) (I), useful as active agents, from a (I)-containing substrate (A) comprises treating (A) with an extractant (B) comprising at least one fluorinated compound (II) having a b. pt. of 25[deg]C or more under atmospheric conditions, to give a fraction containing (I) and (II). Independent claims are included for: (1) production of a (I)-containing pharmaceutical or cosmetic product, involving separation of (I) by the above process; (2) the use of the (II)-containing extractant (B) as an excipient for pharmaceutical or cosmetic products; (3) pharmaceutical or cosmetic products comprising (I) as active agent and (II) as excipient, and (4) the use of (II) as solvent for dewaxing concrete.
