Abstract:
This invention relates to the use of pore mouth control of microporous solids for developing a novel molecular sieve adsorbents and their potential in the drying of alcohols and more specifically, theinvention relates to the manufacture and use of a molecular sieve adsorbent, which selectively adsorbs water from the azeotropic alcohol - water mixtures, by pore mouth control of microporous solidswith liquid phase metal alkoxide deposition on the external surface at ambient conditions of temperature and pressure and thus prepared adsorbent is useful for the commercial drying of alcohols.
