Abstract:
Disclosed are 4-phenyl-piperidin-4-ol derivatives of Formula 1, wherein; R1 Is selected from OSO2CF3, OSO2CH3, SO2CF3, COCH3, CN, OCF3, F, CI, and CF3; R2 occupies either the 2 or the 4-positlon of the phenyl ring; when R2 occupies the 2-position, R2 is selected from H, OH, NH2, F, CI, and CH3, when R2 occupies the 4-position, R2 is selected from H, CN, CF3, OH, NH2, F, Cl, Br, I, and CH3; R3 is selected from alky, allyl, CH2CH2OCH3, CH2CH2CH2F, CH2CH2CHF2, CH2CH2F, CH2CHF2, CH2CF3, 3,3,3-trifluoropropyl, and 4,4,4-trifluorobutyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; with the proviso that R3 is not methyl when R1 is trifluoromethyl and R2 is hydrogen, when R1 is trifluromethyl and R2 is 4-chloro, and with the proviso that R3 is not n-propyl when R1 is trifluoromethyl and R2 is 4-fluoro. Also disclosed is the use of the compounds as defined above for the manufacture of a pharmaceutically active preparation for treating a disorder of the central nervous system.
