Abstract:
Ethylenic copolymer (A) comprises a monomer (I) (10-60 wt.%) or their salts, a cationic monomer (40-90 wt.%) or their salts and optionally nonionic hydrophilic monomers (0-50 wt.%) with the exclusion of methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate and isopropyl acrylate (higher or equal to 10 wt.%). Ethylene copolymer comprises monomer (I) of formula (CH2=C(R1)(Zx)-(R2)m-(CH2CH2O)n-R3) (10-60 wt.%), primary cationic monomers (40-90 wt.%) of formula ((CH2=C(R1)(Zax1)-(Ra2)m1-X) (IIa), (CH2=C(R1)(Zax1)-(Ra2)m1-Y) (IIb), (CH2=C(R1)(Zax1)-(Ra2)m1-Xa+>-(Ra3)n1-Ya->) (IIc) or (CH2=C(R1)(Zax1)-(Ra2)m1-O-P->(O)2-O-(Ra3)n1-Xb+>) (IId)) or their salts and optionally nonionic hydrophilic monomers (0-50 wt.%) with the exclusion of methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate and isopropyl acrylate (higher or equal to 10 wt.%). T : divalent group such as -COO-, -CONH-, -CONCH3-, -OCO-, -O-, -SO2-, -CO-O-CO or -CO-CH2-CO-; R1H or a hydrocarbon radical of type CpH2p+1 (preferably H, methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl); p : 1-12; Z : T; Za : T (preferably COO or CONH); x, m : 0 or 1; x1, m1 : 0 or 1 (preferably 1); R2divalent carbon radical (optionally 1-30C aromatic) comprising 1-18 heteroatoms (O, N, S, F, Si or P); n : 3-300; R3H or C (optionally 1-30C aromatic) comprising 1-20 heteroatoms (O, N, S, F, Si or P); X : -N(R6)(R7) or -P(R6)(R7), -P+>R6R7R8 or -Ra6-N-Ra7-; R6-R8H, aromatic alkyl comprising 1-18 (preferably 1-10)C heteroatoms (O, N, S, F, Si or P); R6R7Ra6Ra7+(N or P) : first aromatic cycle comprising 5, 6, 7 or 8 (preferably 4, 5 or 6)C atoms and/or 2-4 heteroatoms (O, S or N); Y : -COOH, -SO3H, -OSO3H, -PO3H2 or -OPO3H2; Xa+>divalent group of formula -N+>(R6)(R7)-; Ya->-COO->, -SO3->, -OSO3->, -PO32>-> or -OPO32>->; Ra3C, optionally 1-30C aromatic comprising 1-18 heteroatoms (O, N, S, F, Si or P); n1 : 1-100 (preferably 1-5); and Xb+>N+>R6R7R8. Provided that the first cycle can fuse with one or more other cycles (optionally aromatic), comprising 5-7 (preferably 4-7)C atoms and/or 2-4 heteroatoms (O, S or N). An independent claim is also included for a process of treating keratinous material such as skin of the body or face, nails, hairs and/or lashes comprising application of (A) on the keratinous materials.
