Abstract:
The method involves eliminating a pressure contact between a directly driven plate cylinder (10) and an adjacent rubber blanker cylinder (8). The plate cylinder is directly driven in such a way that it is twistable from the actual angular allocation to an angular position for removing a printing form arranged on the plate cylinder and a second printing form is applied and connected to the plate cylinder which is rotated together with the second printing form by the direct drive to an angular affectation for printing. Simultaneously with change of the printing form on the plate cylinder and elimination of pressure contact between the plate and the rubber blanker cylinder (10, 8), a cleaning device (7) is placed on the rubber blanker cylinder. The rubber blanket is cleaned and the cleaning device is removed before the rubber blanker cylinder and the plate cylinder provided with the second printing plate are again brought into pressure contact in a contact area.
