Abstract:
The connecting rod has a small connecting rod eye (20) for holding a piston pin and having a large connecting rod eye (30) for holding a crank pin. A connecting rod eye has a geometric deviation from a cylindrical inner contour. A connecting rod eye is formed by a bore (22,32) with a cylindrical inner contour. The bore is provided with a coating (23) comprising a resin with solid lubricant particles embedded in it. The coating forms a geometric deviation from the cylindrical inner contour of a connecting rod eye. An independent claim is also included for the method for producing a connecting rod.
