Abstract:
Producing coated paper comprises applying an aqueous coating composition to raw paper in an amount of 10-40 g/m 2> (dry basis) and conditioning the coated paper. The raw paper has a long-fiber cellulose content of at least 25 wt.%, an absolute moisture content of at least 2.5%, a water absorption capacity of 5-20 g/m 2> and a fenchel wet expansion of no more than 0% in the machine direction and no more than 3% in the cross direction. An independent claim is also included for coated paper produced as above.
