Abstract:
A method performed by an access device (110, 140), which comprises sending from the access device (110, 140) to a user equipment, UE (130), on a physical downlink control channel, PDCCH, a first downlink control information, DCI, set with DCI formats (402, 404, 406; 502, 504, 506, 508) containing a carrier indicator field, CIF (405, 507). The method comprises sending from the access device to the UE a radio resource control, RRC, command indication to order the UE to switch from using the first DCI set to using a second DCI set. The RRC command indication causes the UE to reconfigure, when carriers are aggregated for use by the UE, for switching (700) from monitoring the first downlink control information, DCI, set to monitoring the second DCI set such that after the UE is caused to reconfigure for switching from monitoring the first DCI set to monitoring the second DCI set, the UE is caused to temporarily monitor both the first DCI set and the second DCI set on the PDCCH. The first DCI set comprises a set of DCI formats having a first CIF size, and wherein the second DCI set comprises a set of DCI formats having a second different CIF size.
