Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire pump system that meets a standard by controlling an inexpensive general-purse fire pump by inverter drive.SOLUTION: An inverter drive fire pump system includes a fire pump for supplying water from a suction side to spray means of a fire hydrant or a sprinkler installed on each floor on a demand side through a water pipe, an electric motor for driving the fire pump, and an inverter for driving the electric motor. When a first specified point of pump performance is defined as an amount of water Q being 100%, a net pump head H being 100%, and shaft power S being 100% under an inverter frequency f0, the fire pump, the electric motor, and the inverter are selected and combined so as to satisfy a second specified point of a discharge amount Q being 150%, a net pump head H being 65% or more, and shaft power S being 110% or less under an inverter frequency f1.
