Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a rubber-coated core wire forming a belt sleeve from being unbound when the rubber-coated core wire containing rubber corresponding to compression rubber of a belt is wound around a cylindrical molding die to form a belt sleeve.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a belt sleeve includes: a coating step of continuously coating rubber 51 extruded from an extruder 2 on a core wire 52 to form a rubber-coated core wire 53; and a winding step of winding the rubber-coated core wire 53 around the outer peripheral surface of a rotatable cylindrical molding die 27 to form a belt sleeve 54. The rubber-coated core wire 53 contains rubber corresponding to compression rubber of a belt. In the winding step, the rubber-coated core wire 53 is pressed from an axial direction of the rubber-coated core wire 53 at a position where the rubber-coated core wire 53 is wound on the cylindrical molding die 27, thereby pressure-joining the rubber-coated core wire 53 having been wound on the cylindrical molding die 27 to the rubber-coated core wire 53 to be wound on the cylindrical molding die 27.
