Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo ship having high propulsion energy efficiency and using two-cycle low speed diesel engine as a main engine, which has high energy efficiency.SOLUTION: A width direction central line 30 of a ship bottom is inclined downward from a bow side to a stern side with respect to a water line (load water line) L. And a main engine disposed on the stern part is a low speed diesel engine 50 which is two-cycle and whose rotation number is equal to or less than 300, and total ton of the main engine is equal to or more than 500. In addition, a propeller axis is disposed on a lower position than a conventional disposed position, so that the propeller immerses sufficiently even when ballast water amount is small or a ballast tank is small.
