PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition, a film containing the composition, and an electronic device containing the composition.SOLUTION: The composition comprises a tetraphenylene ethylene having a structure of either of the examples 1 to 25, a tetraphenylene ethylene of the structure (I), a tetraphenylene ethylene of the structure (IA), or a combination thereof. (In the formulas, for each of the structures (I) and (IA), R, R, R, and Rare identical or different, and R, R, Rand Rare each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a hydrocarbon, a substituted hydrocarbon, and combinations thereof.
