Title:
PRESSING FORCE ADJUSTING DEVICE OF ENDLESS TRANSMISSION BELT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014137033
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing force adjusting device which can optimize a pressing force applied to an endless transmission belt such as a timing chain.SOLUTION: Target base hydraulic pressure is obtained from a target base hydraulic pressure setting map using the number of engine revolutions, an oil temperature and an advanced position of a VVT mechanism as parameters. A fluttering amount of a timing chain 69 is detected by chain fluttering detection sensors 318a, 318b. When the fluttering amount of the timing chain 69 is larger than an allowable range, the target hydraulic pressure is obtained by adding a correction hydraulic pressure value to the target base hydraulic pressure, and on the other hand, when the fluttering amount of the timing chain 69 is smaller than the allowable range, the target hydraulic pressure is obtained by subtracting the correction hydraulic pressure value from the target base hydraulic pressure. A just enough pressing force is thereby applied to the timing chain 69, and the fluttering amount is limited within the allowable range.
