Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that provides high quality images.SOLUTION: The display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer provided between the first and second substrates. The liquid crystal layer includes a liquid crystal composition including an alkenyl liquid crystal and including an antioxidant and a derivative thereof. The antioxidant is present in an amount more than 0 ppm and less than 10,000 ppm relative to the total liquid crystal composition.
