PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner and an accumulator capable of shortening the piping length of the accumulator and making management of the amount of oil return easy.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 1 comprises: a compressor 12; and an accumulator 13 which is connected to a suction side of the compressor 12 via a cooling medium pipe in a cooling medium circuit 6. In the accumulator 13; an inlet side inner pipe 63 and an outlet side inner pipe 62 are piped inside a vertically long accumulator body 61; each inner end of the inlet side inner pipe 63 and the outlet side inner pipe 62 opens to upper space 68 of the accumulator body 61; and an outer end of the outlet side inner pipe 62 extends inside the accumulator body 61 in a substantially linear manner and is led out from a lower part of the accumulator body 61; and a bottom part of the accumulator body 61 becomes an oil reservoir 67. The accumulator 13 comprises: an oil return pipe 65 for connecting the oil reservoir 67 and the suction side of the compressor 12; and an oil return valve 66 for opening/closing the oil return pipe 65.
