Abstract:
A method for running of a vehicle having a combustion engine which can selectively be connected to a driveshaft (104, 105) for propulsion of the vehicle, the vehicle can be run in a first mode (M1) with the engine connected to the driveshaft (104, 105) and in which fuel supply to the engine is substantially shut off, in a second mode (M2) with the engine disconnected from the driveshaft (104, 105) and a third mode like the first mode, but with the fuel supply not cut off. On a downgrade, determining whether running in the first mode (M1) will result in a speed increase, and then running in the second mode (M2) if running it in the first mode (M1) would cause a speed increase.
