Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a tire model for numerical analysis in a short period of time without requiring operator's experience and skill.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of creating a three-dimensional tire model for numerical analysis by using a computer on the basis of an analysis target part of the whole or at least a part of an annular tire. The method includes: a step S1 of inputting a first tire model obtained by modeling the analysis target part in a linear fashion so as not to have curvature around a tire rotation axis by using the finite number of three-dimensional elements; a deformation step S2 of deforming the first tire model to a second tire model which is curved based on the curvature of the analysis target part around the tire rotation axis; a simulation step S3 of calculating deformation of the second tire model ground-contacted on a road surface model obtained by modeling a road surface; a step S4 of determining whether or not a physical quantity of the second tire model falls within an allowable range; and a step S5 of manufacturing a tire when it is determined that the physical quantity of the second tire model falls within the allowable range.
