Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recess forming roll stand which can prevent steel pipe jamming when starting manufacture when a stepped steel pipe is manufactured by using a stretch reducer.SOLUTION: A recess forming roll stand 1 comprises: a pair of recess forming rolls 3A, 3B; roll support shafts 4A, 4B having base shaft parts 4Aa, 4Ba arranged in parallel with each other and rotatably supported individually and eccentric shaft parts 4Ab, 4Bb eccentric with respect to the base shaft parts and rotatably supporting the rolls 3A, 3B; a first gear transmission mechanism which makes the rotations of the pair of recess forming rolls 3A, 3B be synchronized with each other; a power transmission mechanism that gives forward and reverse rotation power to any one base shaft part 4Aa of the base shaft parts 4Aa, 4Ba of the roll support shafts 4A, 4B; and a second gear transmission mechanism that interlocks with the rotation of the one base shaft part 4Aa to rotate the other base shaft part 4Ba to perform switching of the rolls 3A, 3B into a state where the rolls 3A, 3B are made close to each other and a state where the rolls 3A, 3B are separated from each other when power is given from the power transmission mechanism to the one base shaft part 4Aa.
