Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a metal part using electrocasting which allows peeling a metal part without pattern defects even when the scale of an irregular pattern is microscopic.SOLUTION: A method of producing a metal part comprises forming a release layer 16 along the irregular pattern on the surface of a casting die 20 having a microscopic irregular pattern on the surface, forming an initial layer 14 having conductivity on the release layer 16, a metal layer 12 on the initial layer 14 by electrocasting a metal material, and peeling a composite plate composed of the initial layer 14 and the metal layer 12 integrated together from the casting die in an organic solvent to producing a metal part, e.g. a die 10. With the height of the irregular pattern as H μm and the density of the irregular pattern as N pieces/μm, the viscosity coefficient η mPa s of the organic solvent at 35°C meets equations (1) and (2): (1) η<0.9 and (2) η×H×N<1.6.
