Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail vehicle with fire extinguishing equipment capable of providing the fire extinguishing equipment by a small installation man-hours and quickly extinguishing the fire by effectively spraying extinguishant to a space inside the rail vehicle.SOLUTION: A rail vehicle 10 includes: a fire extinguisher 20 on a roof; a guardrail 22 inside the rail vehicle 10; and a hand hold 26 connected to the guardrail 22. The guardrail 22 and the hand hold 26 have nozzles 29 from which the extinguishant is sprayed, and the fire extinguisher 20 and the guardrail 22 are connected by a connecting pipe 21 provided in a mode penetrating though a roof structure 12. In an emergency, the extinguishant incorporated in the fire extinguisher 20 is pneumatically fed to the inside spaces of the guardrail 22 and the hand hold 26 via the connecting pipe 21. Namely, the guardrail 22 and the hand hold 26 are formed of a hollow cylindrical body and the insides thereof are served as a duct (a flow passage) for pneumatically feeding the extinguishant provided in the fire extinguisher 20.
