Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a metal replica which reduces variation of the shrinkage factor and the difference in average shrinkage factor between in-plane directions and a method of producing a stamper.SOLUTION: A method of producing a metal replica includes an electrocasting step (I, M, T) of forming a metal electrodeposition layer on the surface of a mother die by electrodeposition. A graph which plots time changes of the density of an electric current applied to the mother die with the current density as the longitudinal axis and the time as the lateral axis is taken as the current density change curve (Cl); in the electrodeposition step, the quantity of the whole electricity applied through the increase of the current density is taken as Q; and the quantity of the whole electricity applied through the decrease of the current density is taken as Q. In the electrodeposition (I, M, T), the current density is controlled so as to meet the condition 0.20≤Q/Q≤5.00.
