Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a patient's sleep state and bed-leaving to be predicted while decreasing components as much as possible and protecting the patient's privacy without making the patient feel uncomfortable in bed.SOLUTION: When it is detected by a detection device 3 that an illuminating device 2 in the vicinity of a bed is turned on though the present time information is bedtime information, and an illuminating device 1 in the sickroom is turned off, it is determined by a determination device 8 that a patient is awake, and in some cases, has caused the illuminating device 2 to be turned on for leaving the bed, and notification is made by a notification device 9, so that it is possible to notify by the notification device 9 of the patient's awakening state and that the patient is likely to leave the bed simply by detecting the lighting state of the illuminating device 1 in the sickroom and the illuminating device 2. Also, since a picture of the patient is not taken, his or her privacy can be protected, and since a mat sensor is not installed on a bed surface, the patient is not made to feel uncomfortable in bed.
