Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a refrigerant circulation state and stabilize a cooling function for a cooling target.SOLUTION: Provided is a loop heat pipe that uses a steam pipe (18) and a liquid pipe (14) to couple an evaporation unit (4, 42) evaporating refrigerant (12) provided inside by heat generated from a heating element (6) and absorbing heat to a condenser (10, 44), for circulating the refrigerant (12, 16). The evaporation unit (4, 42) includes: a heat absorption conduit line (20, tubule 48); a steam unit (24, 50); and a return flow conduit line (return flow passage 28). The heat absorption conduit line (20) includes flowing means (22, liquid flow conduit line 54, wick 62) provided on at least a part of an outlet for flowing the refrigerant (12, 16) using a capillary force, and causes the refrigerant (12, 16) flowing inside to absorb the heat. The steam unit (24, 50) communicates with the heat absorption conduit line (20), and flows the evaporated refrigerant (12, 16) to a steam conduit line. The return flow conduit line (28) includes an opening portion (26) formed on an edge of the steam unit (24, 50) to be proximate to the heat absorption conduit (20), captures dew condensation water (liquefied refrigerant 30) generated within the steam unit (24, 50), and returns the dew condensation water (liquefied refrigerant 30) to an inlet of the flowing means (22).
