Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheet from being transported to a stapler to cause breaking or bending of the sheet during a clinch operation for sending a needle.SOLUTION: There is provided a CPU111 (control means) which stops a roller when sheet transportation is detected during operation of the roller (sending means) which sends a needle to a driving position interlocking with a clinch operation of a stapler 420 when a needle cueing detection sensor 450 detects that a needle in the stapler 420 is not at the driving position. Thus, the sheet is prevented from being transported to the stapler 420 during clinch operation.
