Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device for the vehicle interior capable of preventing occupants from being dazzled, and restraining light from leaking out of a cabin.SOLUTION: An illumination device 1 is attached to a standing attachment surface 31a located at a position lower than a window 34, in a cabin 4. The illumination device 1 includes: a light source unit U having a light source 21, a cylindrical covering cylinder part 22 surrounding the periphery of the light source 21, and a light emission part 22a for emitting light into the cabin 4; a frame part 11 forming a frame shape edging an opening 31b provided at the attachment surface 31a, and having a hole 11a at the inside; and a covering lid part 12 having a plate shape, for holding the light source unit U so as to cover the light source unit U, rotating so as to open/close the hole 11a, making the light source unit U be stored at the back of the attachment surface 31a when the hole 11a is closed, and making the light source unit U be exposed from the hole 11a so that the light emission part 22a faces an object T to be illuminated when rotated at a predetermined angle in a direction of opening the hole 11a.
