Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric copper foil which combines flexibility and rigidity suitable for applications including wiring boards and batteries.SOLUTION: Electrolytic copper foil is used in wiring boards or batteries. In an intensity profile of nitrogen(N), sulfur(S) or chlorine(Cl) appearing in SIMS(secondary ion mass spectrometry) measured for the surface of the S surface or M surface of the electrolytic copper foil of a thickness of x[μm] in the thickness direction, a peak value of nitrogen(N), sulfur(S) or chlorine(Cl) is present at a position of the depth dp[μm] meeting condition 0.3x≥dp≥0.7x. Preferably, with the intensity [count number] as I(dp) and the intensity at the position x/8 from the depth dp showing the peak value as I(dp-x/8) and I(dp+x/8), I(dp), I(dp-x/8) and I(dp+x/8) meet conditions I(dp)≥100, I(dp-x/16)≥1.5×I(dp-x/8), I(dp+x/16)≥1.5×I(dp+x/8), I(dp)≥1.5×I(dp-x/8) and I(dp)≥1.5×I(dp+x/8).
