Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple ring bookbinding by expanding stitching variation of a saddle stitching booklet, and penetrating a stitching member into a punch hole after opening the punch hole as required, to perform stitching which is close to a simple ring bookbinding.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device includes a stacker 35 in which a sheet that is transported is temporarily loaded in almost vertical condition, a stopper 38 which regulates a tip end of the sheet that is loaded, a first stitching part (stapler 40) for saddle-stitching at a middle part in transportation direction of the sheet bundle being regulated by the stopper 38, and a folding roller 45 and a folding blade 46 for center-folding at a middle portion of the sheet bundle. It includes a second stitching part (paper stapler 60) for stitching a back of the sheet bundle, being transported with a back side of the sheet bundle that has been center-folded as a tip end, and a control means 190 for selectively operating the first stitching part and the second stitching part.
