Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous coating material composition that can form a coating film not only having good stain resistance (durability of the effect) while having weatherability and resistance to whitening by absorbing water but also having excellent blocking resistance and to provide a coated article using the aqueous coating material composition.SOLUTION: The aqueous coating material composition includes an aqueous dispersion of an emulsion polymerization type acrylic polymer in which emulsion polymerization type acrylic polymer particles are dispersed and a hydrophilizing agent derived from saccharides. The aqueous dispersion of an emulsion polymerization type acrylic polymer is produced by dispersing emulsion polymerization type acrylic polymer particles having SP value (solubility parameter) of 9.0 to 10.0 in water and the hydrophilizing agent includes a specific constitutional unit. The coated article is produced by coating a substrate with the aqueous coating material composition.
