Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extinguish a flame on a flammable liquid stored in a container or a storage tank, and to reuse the flammable liquid after extinction.SOLUTION: A fire extinguisher 10 includes: a first storage part 12 in which a first liquid which is a source of flame retardant urethane foam is stored; a second storage part 14 in which a second liquid which is a source of flame retardant urethane foam is stored; and a communication part 16 for separating the first liquid from the second liquid and communicating the first storage part 12 with the second storage part 14 when extinguishing a flame. In the fire extinguisher 10, when the first storage part 12 and the second storage part 14 are communicated with each other, the first liquid and the second liquid are foamed by coming in contact with each other, and the flame retardant urethane foam leaks outside and is solidified. A flame on a flammable liquid is extinguished when the solidified flame retardant urethane foam is present on the flammable liquid.
