Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a hole 21 of a partial spherical shell piece 20 to approach to its simulation as much as possible.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a butterfly valve V including a valve body 12 having spherical porous plate members 20a, 20b within a valve case 10. The porous plate members are made by forming plural holes 21 in a flat plate piece 20' and then processing the flat plate piece into a partial spherical shape. If the piece is flat piece, it is possible to form holes of desired shape, size and arrangement or the like equally by a drill, so that an effective cavitation restriction effect can be obtained by the equal holes and the like. In addition, when the piece is processed by plastic working, the inner circumferential surface of each of the holes is reduced in its diameter toward a center of sphere as the working is performed to become a truncated cone shape, so that a regulation flow formed by the holes of the porous hole plate member 20a flows smoothly by the truncated cone shape toward the center of the flow passage and then the cavitation is effectively restricted.
