Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict the temperature of a tire during travel.SOLUTION: A simulation method for predicting the temperature of a tire during travel comprises: a boundary condition setting step S3 for defining a boundary condition including at least a heat transfer rate between a tire outer surface and air to a tire model; and a simulation step S4 for calculating the temperature of the tire model during travel. The simulation step S4 comprises: a step for calculating the heat generation quantity of the tire model during travel; a step for calculating the heat release quantity of the tire model during travel, based on the heat transfer rate; and a step for predicting the temperature of the tire model during travel, based on the heat release quantity and heat generation quantity. The boundary condition setting step S3 comprises: a step for dividing the outer surface of the tire model into plural areas; and a step for respectively defining different heat transfer rates to the plural areas.
