Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump which makes a reliable countermeasure for submergence while inhibiting cost increase.SOLUTION: A pump 10 includes: a pump casing 11; an impeller 19 disposed in the pump casing 11; and a waterproof motor 30 for rotationally driving the impeller 19. The waterproof motor 30 includes: a motor body 41 having a motor casing 31 closed in a fluid-tight manner and a rotary shaft (a motor shaft 42); a cooling unit 49 having an external fan 50 and a fan motor 51; a submergence detection part (a water level sensor 54, a load state detection part 56, and a temperature sensor 57) which detects the cooling unit 49 or the motor body 41 being submerged; and a control part 53 which stops operation of the fan motor 51 when submergence is detected.
