Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll device for supporting a roll in a noncontact state with a compact and simple constitution.SOLUTION: A roll device 1 includes a shaft 3 connected to a roll 2, a collar 4 to which the shaft 3 is inserted so that the collar 4 is fixed by the shaft 3, and an annular thrust bearing 8 to which the collar 4 is slidably inserted. Annular protrusions 43a and 43b are formed on an outer peripheral surface 40 of the collar 4. The thrust bearing 8 has a pair of annular yokes 80a and 80b made of a magnetic material, and a plurality of magnets 81 held between the yokes 80a and 80b, and the yokes 80a and 80b are magnetized by the magnets 81, and magnetic force is generated. The annular protrusions 43a and 43b formed on the collar 4 is attracted to an inner side of the thrust bearing 8 by the magnetic force generated from the yokes 80a and 80b, and thereby, the collar 4 is supported in a noncontact state.
