Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote activation of a catalyst device while reducing the size of an engine.SOLUTION: An exhaust device of an engine includes an engine body 1 having a cylinder head 3 in which an exhaust manifold having a collective exhaust port 3a is integrally formed, a turbo supercharger 60, a DOC 31 adjacent thereto, a DPF 32, and an EGR device for circulating a part of exhaust gas to an upstream side intake pipe 20a. The turbo supercharger 60 converts the exhaust gas discharged from the collective exhaust port 3a into an upward swirl flow so as to turn the turbine 62b, and the DOC 31 has a gas inlet 72 and a gas outlet 73 on both sides in a lower region of a carrier 70 so that the exhaust gas mainly passes through the lower region. The EGR device and the DPF 32 are arranged side by side below the turbo supercharger 60 and the DOC 31.
