Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method capable of registering biological information at a place where a user utilizes the biological information and utilizing the biological information at a place different from the registration place.SOLUTION: The biological information registration authentication system comprises: a registration device having a first reading unit which reads biological information on a user, a registration unit which registers the biological information read according to an instruction from an information processing device, and a first communication unit which transmits the registered biological information to a data center; the information processing device comprising an instruction unit which instructs to register the biological information in the registration device according to the instruction from the user, and a second communication unit which transmits the instruction to the registration device; the data center having a biological information holding unit which stores the registered biological information, and a third communication unit which receives the registered biological information from the registration device to store it in the biological information holding unit or transmits the biological information stored in the biological information holding unit to an authentication device for allowing the user to perform authentication by using the registered biological information; and the authentication device having a second reading unit which reads the biological information on the user, and the authentication device which checks the read biological information with the biological information received from the data center to authenticate the user.
