Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of obtaining a large number of honeycomb moldings and honeycomb structures while suppressing occurrence of defectives from a specified amount of molding raw materials.SOLUTION: A method of producing a honeycomb molding includes: a molding step of extruding a molding raw material continuous lump 19 in which the connection surface of at least one of two molding raw material lumps 11 connected mutually is provided with a coloring agent 15, from a nozzle 41 for molding a honeycomb molding to obtain a molding 20 of a honeycomb shape; a cutting step of cutting the molding 20 into a plurality of honeycomb moldings; and a sorting step of sorting the honeycomb moldings into coloring agent-containing honeycomb moldings in which the coloring agent appears in the cross section and coloring agent-free honeycomb moldings in which the coloring agent does not appear in the cross section.
