Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that controls whether or not to perform a chip extruding operation according to the number and thickness of sheets placed on a placement table, and can perform an efficient punching operation and a punching chip extruding operation accompanying the punching operation.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device includes: a hollow punching member 60 for punching a sheet placed on a placement table 53; a punching moving member 66 for moving the punching member 60 between a punching position where the punching member punches the sheet and a retreat position where the punching member is retreated from the punching position; a chip extruding member 80 disposed in the hollow interior of the punching member for extruding punching chips remaining in the hollow interior; and a punching control part 123 for controlling these members. The punching control part 123 controls whether to perform the chip extruding operation by the chip extruding member 80 each time a punching operation is performed, or to perform the chip extruding operation intermittently according to the attribute information on the sheet placed on the placement table 53.
