Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle lighting device that illuminates evenly the face of an occupant who uses a mirror and controls a lighting state of an illuminating portion for safety.SOLUTION: A vehicle lighting device 1 comprises: a mirror portion 4 equipped with a mirror 41 that can be arranged to oppose to the face of an occupant; an illuminating portion 11 arranged around the mirror; and a control portion 12 that controls lighting of the illuminating portion. The control portion increase gradually illumination intensity of the illuminating portion until the intensity reaches predetermined illumination intensity in predetermined time, and when detecting that peripheral illumination intensity is less than a predetermined value, makes the illuminating portion light by performing either one of first control for making the predetermined time longer than when detecting that the peripheral illumination intensity is equal to the predetermined value or more and second control for making the predetermined illumination intensity lower than when detecting the illumination intensity as above.
