Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine cover structure capable of stably securing oil for lubricating driving wheels.SOLUTION: A cover structure of an engine E comprises: a crank sprocket 21; cam sprockets 22A, 22B; a cam timing chain 24; and a chain case 30. The chain case 30 includes a first rib 41 protruding from an internal surface 33b of the chain case 30 toward an engine body 10, provided inside of the cam timing chain 24, and extending from the cam sprockets 22A, 22B to be provided near an engagement portion of the crank sprocket 21 with the cam timing chain 24; and a second rib 42 protruding from the internal surface 33b toward the engine body 10, provided near an engagement-portion-side end portion of the first rib 41, and guiding oil in a direction of separating from the internal surface 33b.
